What would a Gateway to Freedom - Group Partnership look like for your support group?
But God has so composed the body, giving greater honor to the part that lacked it, that there may be no division in the body, but that the members may have the same care for one another. If one member suffers, all suffer together; if one member is honored, all rejoice together.
1 Corinthians 12:24b-26

For the addiction recovery family we know the true opposite of addiction is community.
This truth is compounded in recovery when community is fully embraced, and the body of Christ operates in greater unity. This is where the support group and intensive workshop communities come together for that addict feeling alone and trapped.
Support groups serve a vital need for the addict and family. The intensive workshop provides that person struggling with porn or other sexual stronghold, a significant catalyst boost for their recovery journey as it prepares them to return to that longer term Support Group and system.
When these two recovery communities work together well, the addict is given a greater chance of freedom, we serve and come along-side one another as God would have us to.
In the video below is a working and successful testimony of one such partnership and it's impact.

What are Gateway Alumni Saying?
"The small group breakout sessions are invaluable. To be among a handful of other men with similar issues who each are at a different place on the path to freedom was worth the price. To hear their stories and learn from their experiences, guided by a trustworthy counselor. Eye and heart opening."
Rick H. - GTF Alumni & Faithful and True small group |
"Just do it and do a lot of praying about coming. It will be life changing."
