--Does your husband struggle with pornography or sex addiction?
--Has an affair threatened to destroy your marriage?
--Are you feeling hopeless and at a loss for answers?
The Handbook for Hurting Wives is the resource you need to start the journey to healing and wholeness. The Handbook for Hurting Wives was written specifically to address the pain and confusion a wife faces when living with a sexually addicted husband. There are many painful emotions and questions that surface in such a relationship, and this resource addresses these issues with honesty and clarity.
Stephen & Tonna Cervantes are the main authors of this workbook. Stephen is a licensed professional counselor with nearly 20 years experience in dealing with relational pain. He is also a marriage and family therapist and has a solid understanding of what it takes to repair the damage caused by sexual addiction. He shares his experience with us, “When a sexual addiction is revealed in a husband, the wife is usually the one who suffers in silence, with seemingly no place to turn for answers. I knew a resource needed to be developed to help wives process this unique pain and restore hope that healing can occur and life can go on. This is why the Handbook for Hurting Wives was written.”
Jonathan & Elaine Daugherty also contributed to the editing process of this resource. Jonathan is the director of Be Broken Ministries, an interdenominational non-profit sexual purity ministry. The majority of all contact received at Be Broken is from wives of men struggling with a sexual addiction. Jonathan shares, “Wives are contacting us every day asking, ‘What do I do now?’ The Handbook for Hurting Wives has proven to be a great starting point for helping these brave women find answers and a new vision for what can be in their lives and relationships.”
